SUZAKU KURURUGI
Canonpoint: R2, Episode 9
Age: 18 (birthdate 07/10)
Wish: "My wish is Euphie's wish. I want a peaceful world."
Euphemia's dream mirrored Suzaku's own ideals in many ways before she died—Japan and its people a free nation again, unity between Britannia and Japan, and an end to the fighting. This is naturally a difficult wish to encompass in a different world entirely, but we don't have to get quite so specific in this case. We know that Suzaku is, by nature, a person who tries his best to avoid bloodshed when possible and will always, without fail, choose to save lives over a more ruthless political decision. So even though Suzaku's entire role in the show is being Da Best Fighter, his role in Soulgemmed will be quite the opposite, because his wish and corresponding powers will mean seeking a gentler end to conflict than just blowing shit up with a giant robot, seeking ways to quell conflicts, and uniting the people of this new place toward a common goal.
Result: Suzaku was given the power to protect and convince others, effectively dialing down the need to fight and amping up his motivation to protect others and, when possible, avoid conflict with his enemies.
Weapon: In the show, Suzaku is the sword. Now he is the shield (the green thing)! This shield ("Blaze Luminous", like the ones Knightmare Frames use) is energy-based and quite formidable, but also very lightweight. As a result, while it could withstand quite a beating, it can't quite stack up to its actual machinery counterpart. While its uses are of course largely defensive, it surely would pack quite a punch if you rammed someone with it, or perhaps threw it like a frisbee. Sadly, it does not possess anime boomerang/CapAm powers. It will just hit the target, then the ground. But it gets an A for effort.
Outfit: For now, he's just wearing his Knight of Rounds uniform. This will change soon however!

» ACTIVE: Geass: Protect - Rather than being compulsively forced to protect himself, Suzaku will now be uncontrollably compelled to save the lives of others by any means necessary. He will not be cognizant of his actions as this overtakes him or able to control or resist it (at least, not until he comes to better understand how it works). This will be triggered by directly witnessing an individual in harm's way, with the threat being either life-threatening or deeply harmful.
» PASSIVE: Compelling Speech - As a buff, Suzaku's impassioned attempts to convince others to lay down their arms and reconsider conflict will be increased (so, it won't activate in casual conversation—only during emotional or desperate moments, such as in the heat of a battle)./div>

Permissions
Nearly everything is fair game here. Violence, romance, fighting, the works. There are some key points:
- Backtagging: I work full-time so I typically only tag during the evenings and on weekends.
- Fourth-Walling: Your character may recognize a made-up canon similar to Suzaku's world but I would prefer nothing specific to his canon ("Hey you're from Code Geass" "Hey where's your Knightmare Frame"... etc).
- Mind-Readers: Always an awesome plot and I will pretty much always say yes! However, Suzaku is a very deeply disturbed individual so there is a lot to touch on. This has happened to him in canon and he reacted very violently, so please hit me up with the deets and to hash out how it should go beforehand.
